The flag of Malaysia, also known as the Jalur Gemilang (Malay for "Stripes of Glory"), combination of 14 alternating red and white stripes along the fly and a blue canton bearing a crescent and a 14-point star known as the Bintang Persekutuan (Federal Star).
The 14 stripes represent the equal status in the federation of the 13 member states (Sabah, Sarawak, Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, Melaka, Pulau Pinang, Perak, Perlis, Selangor, Terengganu, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang) and the federal government.
Kuala Lumpur(KL) is the capital of Malaysia, located on the west coast of the Malaysian peninsular in between Thailand and Singapore, eight hours ahead of the Greenwich Mean Time(GMT). "Kuala Lumpur" literally means "muddy confluence", it has a tropical climate with temperatures ranging around 20 to 35'C. Over the years Kuala Lumpur grew from a tin miner's camp into a commercial centre that was able to attract large numbers of investors from worldwide.
