PARALLEL NIPPON – CONTEMPORARY JAPANESE ARCHITECTURE 1996-2006

The exhibition focuses on Japanese architecture of the latter half of the 1990s and first half of the following decade, with the aim of showing it in relation to the circumstances at the times and identifying its specific character. A review was carried out based on a wide definition of Japanese architecture, including not only works created in Japan but also those created overseas by Japanese architects.

This exhibition set consists of text and photo panels, models and origami architecture. One of the panels includes design of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) by Kisho KUROKAWA.
